5 - Power: The European Union
Pages 114-117.
Europe has long been a politically divided continent. Some 50 countries coexist between the Atlantic Ocean and Russia's Ural Mountains. However, since the end of the Second World War, Europeans have gradually developed a feeling of collective identity and shared interests. This development has lead to the gradual emergence of the European Union. This confederation of independent states is one of today's most advanced political associations.
REMEMBER!
The class after this one is when we're having our non-test. For marks.
